Birdland is proud to present the return of Broadway, concert and recording artist Karen Mason on March 24 at 7pm, in a new show “Karen’s Back…at Birdland!”
After recent sold-out shows in Puerto Vallarta, NY, and Chicago and with her newest album, All That Jazz still hot, Karen Mason returns, for one night only, to her favorite club in the Broadway district! Only 6 days from her birthday, this Aries has always been driven by her passions and her heart! Sassy, brassy, and tinged with confessional monologues, and songs from some of her favorite writers, Karen will share her love of music, and her love of storytelling. Direction by Barry Kleinbort and Musical Direction by Christopher Denny on piano, and Ritt Henn on bass.

Davenport’s will present the return of Broadway, concert and recording star Karen Mason with a performance of her celebrated show “Just in Styne: Karen Sings Jule” – honoring Jule Styne, one of her favorite songwriters.
From the first time she sang for Mr. Styne in New York City, to performing in a concert in his honor at Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Karen has made the songs of Jule Styne a part of her musical life. This evening includes Broadway tunes “Just in Time” and “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend,” and pop standards “It’s Magic” and “Every Street’s a Boulevard in Old New York.”
Karen will be joined by Christopher Denny on piano. The show is directed by Barry Kleinbort.

We’re Still Here! The Company of our celebrated, long-running series, Sondheim Unplugged, is thrilled to be Back in Business for season thirteen of our award-winning program. A celebrated New York event since 2010 (It’s a Hit!), Sondheim Unplugged features some of Broadway and cabaret’s most dynamic voices, accompanied by piano only, delving into the musical world of Broadway’s master composer. Hosted by Broadway wit Rob Maitner, with music direction from John Fischer, expect fun facts and tidbits about the original Broadway productions and an evening well spent with Old Friends. Because, God, That’s Good!
